Who is this for?

Beneath the Surface is designed for skin therapists, dermal clinicians and clients who are passionate about understanding the real drivers behind chronic and complex skin conditions.  Naturopaths & Nutritionists, you are more than welcome to come along and we would love to see you there.

What to expect?

Four focused education sessions delivered by leading voices in the industry, covering some of the most misunderstood and under treated skin conditions we see in clinic today:

  • What this actually means and where hormonal imbalances stem from.

  • Recognising patterns and understanding the multi-faceted layers of TSW & eczema treatment.

  • How the modern athlete lifestyle can be detrimental for skin & hormone health.

  • The three aspects of gut health that are crucial for skin

  • Jacinta Siscos (formerly Barbagallo) is a clinical nutritionist, herbalist, and founder of Orenda Women's Health — a practice built over six years into one of Australia's most trusted names in integrative skin and women's health.

Through years of clinical experience, Jacinta has identified consistent patterns across clients presenting with both skin and reproductive conditions; connections that conventional approaches often overlook. Her work is deeply rooted in science, but always clinically practical, because she knows that not every client fits neatly into a textbook.

Central to her approach is collaboration. Jacinta works closely alongside skin therapists and dermal clinicians, pairing internal investigation and personalised treatment plans with external in-clinic care; because the best results come when both sides work together.

At the core of everything she does is one guiding principle: get back to basics. Optimal health doesn't have to be complicated, and Jacinta is passionate about coaching clients through sustainable lifestyle changes that create real, lasting change.

  • Laura Wheeler is a degree-qualified naturopath with a deep specialisation in supporting women through complex skin conditions including topical steroid withdrawal, eczema, acne, and psoriasis.

What makes Laura's perspective truly unique is that she has lived it. Having navigated topical steroid withdrawal and chronic eczema herself in her early twenties, Laura experienced the significant physical and emotional weight of these conditions first-hand. That lived experience isn't just part of her story — it's the foundation of her clinical empathy and the reason she is so deeply committed to this space.

Laura adopts an evidence-based, holistic approach, drawing on functional testing, herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, and dietary and lifestyle guidance to support her clients through what can be an isolating and misunderstood healing journey. She recognises that everyone has their own story, and is a strong advocate for patient-centred, individualised care.

At this event, Laura will bring both the clinical and the personal — offering a perspective on TSW and eczema that is as grounded in science as it is in lived experience.

  • Natalia Fiedor is a Bachelor degree-qualified Naturopath specialising in the relationship between skin, gut, and hormonal health — and she knows firsthand what it feels like when nothing seems to work.

Having experienced severe acne as a teenager and found little relief through conventional approaches, Natalia's personal frustration became her professional purpose. She is deeply committed to uncovering root causes rather than chasing symptoms — particularly the role that gut dysfunction plays in skin conditions. IBS, bloating, and food sensitivities are often silent drivers of persistent skin presentations, and addressing them internally is central to how Natalia gets her clients results.

Drawing on herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle medicine, Natalia takes a whole-body approach that leaves clients feeling heard, supported, and equipped with a clear path forward.

  • Maria Doubrovski is a Bachelor-qualified Clinical Herbalist and Complementary Medicine practitioner, currently completing her Advanced Clinical Nutrition degree. Raised within a Slavic heritage surrounded by traditional herbal remedies, Maria developed a deep appreciation for the healing power of nature from a young age and today weaves that ancestral wisdom seamlessly with evidence-based naturopathic practice.

A central focus of Maria's clinical work is the gut-nervous system-skin connection. She recognises that for many clients, skin conditions don't exist in isolation; they are often the visible result of what's quietly unfolding beneath the surface. Digestive dysfunction, nervous system dysregulation, anxiety, and chronic stress all leave their mark on the skin, and Maria's approach is to investigate and treat these underlying drivers rather than simply manage what's showing up externally. By supporting gut integrity, calming the nervous system, and addressing the emotional load that so often accompanies chronic skin conditions, she helps clients experience shifts that go far beyond surface-level relief.

Having personally experienced anxiety, digestive challenges, and recurring skin conditions, Maria brings a level of empathy to her work that can't be taught. She understands the frustration of feeling like your body is working against you and is committed to creating a space where clients feel truly heard, supported, and empowered with practical, personalised tools to move forward.

Your Questions, Answered

  • Absolutely — you are more than welcome and there is so much here for you. Just keep in mind that this event is designed from a skin therapy perspective, so we won't be covering test interpretation or individualised treatment protocols using herbs and nutrients. Think of it as a valuable lens to complement the work you already do.

  • 100%. This is a rare opportunity to sit in the room with the experts and hear directly how they assess, think about, and support skin conditions. You'll leave with a genuine understanding of what a root cause approach looks like in practice — and the confidence to invest in your health knowing exactly what you're looking for.

  • We want everyone to feel looked after on the day. Please get in touch with Jacinta directly at least three weeks before the event with details of your allergies or intolerances, and we'll do our very best to accommodate you. Please note that depending on the nature of your requirements, we may not be able to cater for every situation, but we will always communicate this with you in advance.

  • As a business that has called the online world home for six years, we know the value of digital — but for this one, we're doing things differently. To celebrate six years of Orenda, this event is face-to-face only, and intentionally so. That said, if there's enough demand for an online version down the track, we're absolutely open to it. Let us know!

  • Just yourself. We'll have printed slide notes ready for you on the day so you can follow along, take notes, and leave with something tangible in hand.
